PA6 V2 General Purpose Flame Retardant Nylon 6 is a high-performance engineering plastic based on polyamide 6 (PA6) resin. Modified with a specially formulated flame retardant system, this grade achieves a UL94 V-2 flammability rating , which means it self-extinguishes within a specified time after ignition, with limited burning and no burning drips that ignite cotton indicators.
Designed as a general-purpose material, it strikes an excellent balance between processability, mechanical properties, and cost-effectiveness. It retains the inherent strength, toughness, and chemical resistance of standard PA6 while meeting basic flame retardancy requirements for a wide range of applications.
UL94 V-2 Flame Retardant Rating: Meets international safety standards for flame retardancy, reducing fire risks in electrical and electronic applications.
Good Mechanical Properties: Maintains the characteristic strength, stiffness, and impact resistance of nylon 6, suitable for structural parts.
